METRIS Research
Get a head-start in your pre-university years by enhancing your portfolio and develop the core research skills designed to improve your academic ability and credibility and elevate your chance to enter into your desired course in your dream university.
The flagship programme of METRIS, the METRIS Research Programme (RP) is a 36 hours research programme curated to foster intellectual curiosity, critical thinking and analytical skills with access to vast resources that enables students to expand their knowledge base and develop deeper understanding of knowledge beyond the confines of their academic curriculum. The RP brings learning out of the classroom by empowering students to actively pursue their topics of interest. Students become actively learning rather than passively receiving knowledge, which enables them to develop critical thinking, problem-solving and social skills while expanding their knowledge base and developing deeper understanding of key academic disciplines.
At the end of the programme, students would be able to
- complete a research proposal
- complete and publish a research paper/review article
- undergo a technical oral defense
- receive a certificate of completion signed by faculty
Stepping stone towards university success
The ability to do research sets the stage towards university success and beyond. The METRIS Research Programme trains students not just to ask questions, but to ask the right questions, leading them towards tangible conclusions and outcomes.
Our community of distinguished academics who are well established in their respective academic domains will guide you through the labyrinthine process of research and offer diverse perspectives that help shed new light on your career trajectory.
Create your future
At the end of the programme, students will publish a research paper online and go through a technical oral presentation conducted by our expert panel of distinguished faculty where their depth of academic knowledge and intellectual capability are fully demonstrated that can elevate their chance to enter their desired university course.
