In Polytechnic, we spend half of our time applying the theories and concepts we learn to build stuff. While it is undeniably helpful and relevant in the years to come, without understanding the basic theory of the underlying principles, students commonly struggle to make sense of all the formulae they continue to learn in university as the syllabus gets more complicated and intense.

Why JC May Be Better for University Preparation

One of the most significant leverages of a JC education is its close relevance to the topics learnt in universities. Many popular courses, such as medicine, dentistry, sciences and engineering, build on the fundamental layer of concepts and theories we learn in JC. Time management and discipline

Remember those painful moments when we were told to sit still and be quiet while our teachers drone in on various topics as we did our best to pack in as much of the information as possible into our brains? Even as we try with our might to drill these packs of information into our brains, it never seems to stay contained in our leaky brains. Well, it is about to get harder.

As we progress to more sophisticated modules in universities, the pace gets faster, the learning gets intense, and it gets harder to catch up to the various modules.
