A Dynamic Instructor
Dr. Alson Chng completed his studies in Chemistry with a specialisation in Medicinal Chemistry and a minor in Forensic Science in 2015 at the National University of Singapore (NUS). Afterwards, he pursued his postgraduate degree with the NUS Graduate School of Integrative Sciences and Engineering (NGS) in NUS, focusing on Medicinal Organic Chemistry, where he received his Doctoral degree in Chemistry in 2020. The topic of his Ph.D thesis was “Chondroitin Sulfate-C Disaccharides and Tetrasaccharide in Wound Healing and Cancer”, which focused on the optimization, synthesis and characterisation of natural products and testing its effects as a potential drug on wound healing and cancer.
He has been a H2 Chemistry tutor for more than a decade and he is currently also a trainer for Chemistry Olympiad.
